Nashville- Part One
One of the places that I know I could live in is Nashville. Beautiful place and SO much to see and enjoy. For four ladies who were in serious need of girl time, relaxation and fun....Nashville sure did not disappoint!
Here are a few places that we visited and my suggestions for each one. Check it out!
From their site: "Located in Printer’s Alley, the Hotel Indigo® Nashville Downtown hotel sets the beat in downtown Nashville. Once a bank, you’ll notice hints of that heritage throughout our hotel, like the original travertine floors in many guest rooms and U.S. Post drops in our hallways. Today, join us in our printer-themed lobby with its own library and speakeasy-inspired lounge featuring local artists and songwriters 7 nights a week. Our District Bar & Kitchen serves locally inspired fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and we also offer four meeting rooms designed to host intimate receptions, boardroom discussions or cutting-edge seminars. Our location is convenient to the State Capitol, the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, the Entertainment District, LP Field and the Ryman Auditorium."
Bank turn hotel and in walking distance of everything in Downtown Nashville. Spacious rooms. Happy Hour from 3pm-5pm daily and make sure you ask for Andrea at the front desk! She will give you the scoop on the latest and greatest and give you ALL the recommendations!
We got TOURISTY AF with this one but it was worth it! We booked the trolley for 2 days and it takes you all over Nashville with your driver pointing out landmarks and sharing stories. You can hop off at each stop to walk around and stay as long as you like. The trolley stops every 15 minutes so you can stay as little or as long as you like at each stop. Many part of Nashville we would not have seen if we hadn't booked this trolley. Thanks to Andrea and Hotel Indigo for the recommendation!
SHUT THE CLUCK UP! This is worth the wait but get there early! We arrived right at noon but the line moved pretty quickly. You place your order at the counter, have a seat and the staff will bring you your plate of hot chicken goodness!
No manners needed at this place and PLEASE make sure you order the Banana Pudding. SWEET JESUS it is Legit!
In between Music Row and Downtown Nashville and one of my favorite areas! The Trolley will take you here but you are going to want to stay awhile. Here are a few spots that are a must! Biscuit Love. Be prepared to stay in line but TOTALLY worth the wait! Breakfast or brunch but be sure to grab the Shrimp and Grits with a homemade biscuit on the side! Two Old Hippies is a fun stop and shop! This is one of Steven Tyler's favorite places to shop. If you are a lover of coffee table books, vintage t-shirts, amazing clothing and gifts, GO HERE! They often have live shows in the store too! Grab some flowers from Amelia's Flower truck or simply take a photo at the Wings while in the Gulch.
Another stop that we would not have stubbled upon had we not been on the Trolley. (Book the Trolley) This is home to retail shops, Grinder's Switch Winery grab a wine slushy from here, American Pickers Store, Jack Daniels and stop in Bang Candy (PLEASE grab a Store from here!)
I also knew that Landyn Hutchinson was hosting her Living with Landyn Live show in this area that weekend and we were not able to get tickets because they sold out in THREE MINUTES! We walked over to the venue and found MR. If you follow her blog you will know that MR is her husband Steve's dad. We walked over to the UHAUL and asked for a photo. I was ecstatic! Not wanting to interrupt the set up, I didn't ask if Landyn was there. Thankful for friends who push YOLO. Katie asked MR if Landyn was around....a few minutes later she ran out of the building like we were long lost friends.
PEOPLE! She is ALL.THE.THINGS. If you don't follow her blog or instagram, you are missing out!
Stay tuned for NASHVILLE- PART 2
